This piece was born out of contemplating how sometimes captivity is disguised as luxury. And, often, we don’t notice until we’re trapped. Its title is inspired by a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby: “I hope she'll be a fool—that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”
